Purpose

There are two reasons that this blog was created.

1. It is my belief that we cannot lead others further than where we walk spiritually. We must be growing in our faith and walk in Jesus Christ. Part of that growth comes from being challenge and encouraged by other believers. I am a big proponent of reading, especially Christian literature. One of the best ways to grow in your understanding and knowledge of God is to read about Him. Read how others are serving Him. Let them inspire you live out loud for Christ. Reading about God also helps you understand Him and His attributes. It's refreshing to read someone else telling the story of God or Jesus Christ in a way you had not thought about. It opens opportunity to meditate on the things of God in ways you might not have thought about.
Reading good Christian literature can help you grow in your knowledge of God.

So, this blog will be used as such. Each month there will be a Book of the Month. I will post the Title and Author (and maybe a pic, if allowed) and a brief paragraph summary of the book. It is to encourage you and give you suggestions of what things to put into your mind and meditate on. Put away the TV for a little bit and pick up a book. Life is short, learn all you can so you can help others.

2. This provides a quick and easy way to disperse information. In Student Ministry there is always something going on and having the ability to update things quickly or get announcements out about events, etc. is vital. So, let me recommend to click the "Subscribe to: Posts" at the bottom of the blog and click "Live Bookmarks". It will be an easy way to check to see if there are new posts available without having to move away from the webpage you are on.
Information on events, costs, registration, etc. will be posted here. There is also a place where you can leave comments. I'll try to read them often, but it is not the best place to ask questions. If you have a question about a book or event info it is best to call me at the church office or email me.

I hope you find this useful and a source of encouragement.

In Christ,
Bro. Adam
